Without question, one of the most important and effective Speakers the United States House of Representatives has seen in a generation or two. How many have tried to get ANY form of health care reform passed? Most Speakers haven't been able to get anything substantive health care wise out of committee since John McCormack's Great Society Congress. It was McCormack that got Medicare and Medicaid passed for LBJ...
It was Pelosi who got health care passed for Obama.
